Paris Fashion: Seen on the Streets of Paris
Spring has arrived in the City of Light, and Paris fashion is taking inspiration from the vibrant foliage, with bright colors popping up all over the city. Color can be used to refresh a traditional look, and this year is no exception, as vivid colors are being paired with soft pastels. These colors amp up your look when used in the proper way.
Try not to go overboard with an array of colors but instead stick to a common color palette with subtle hues and layers. Black is the go-to for much of the population, but why not switch it up with some less restrictive combinations?
Let’s face it: we all might be a little terrified of matching up the wrong colors in our ensemble, so we have provided you with a color wheel to help you define your look.
Keep in mind that the primary colors are red, blue and yellow. So to find a great color pairing with a primary color, simply follow the line to the direct opposite color on the wheel, and voilà! If you want to keep your colors more subtle, then choose any color paired with the color directly to the right or left of it on the wheel. This is a simple way to add chic and charm to any outfit.
You can see great examples of these color combinations in Parisian streets with this month’s photos. For example, one man has combined subtle hues of blue, which would have been next to one another on the color wheel. The woman in the pink jacket chose a more dramatic style by pairing pastel pink with a rich blue and gorgeous multicolored scarf.
