French Real Estate: Buying a Home in France

Posted in what's hot

Have you ever dreamed of having your own place in France?

Back in 2009, my husband and I purchased a home on the Dordogne river near St. Emilion in Southwestern France with four bedrooms and a pool (see below) for what you might pay for a studio apartment in Paris or NYC.

Our place near Bordeaux, purchased for 430,000 euros.

What’s better? Renting it out for a small portion of the year covers all of our expenses and even makes us a little bit of a profit. An expense free second home in France that we enjoy thoroughly, what could be better? If someone told you, that with a little capital investment you too could own a home in France for free would your ears perk up? The dream of owning French real estate is something that really can be fulfilled.

This might sound like an infomercial, but it was my idea to hold this webinar. I want to spread the world about my favorite country, and how relatively affordable it is to own property here and how easy and enjoyable the process can be.
