Day 1 – June 15th, Wednesday
We’ll begin by taking a train from Montparnasse central station in Paris for Guingamp, arriving around mid-day. (Under 3 hours, lunch is on your own on the train). We’ll meet up at the train station and drive just a half hour to our first port of call, the beautiful, quaint seaside resort of Perros-Guirec perched on the Pink Granite coast.
Once we arrive, depending on if you’ve already recovered from your jet-lag, we’ll either go for a beautiful walk along the stunning seaside dotted with lighthouses, or we’ll help you book a massage* or other spa appointments to help ease you into the local climate.
In the evening we’ll meet at 7:30 for some champagne, and a lovely dinner at our design-forward hotel with a view of the coastline.

Day 2 – June 16th, Thursday
As Brittany is intrinsically tied to the sea, today we’ll venture out on an Old Lobster Boat to take in the views of the coast as well as visit the tiny, (1.2 square mile) delightful Breton island ofBréhat The island feels is as if suspended in time, with lovely little chapels and lighthouses. We’ll enjoy a leisurely lunch on a terrace at Le Crech Kerio before sailing back to the mainland in the late afternoon.
Tonight, we’ll enjoy a nice meal at La Cotriadenot far from our hotel.

Day 3 – June 17th, Friday
Today we’ll drive down to the western coast of Brittany. On the way,we’ll visit several local highlights including the 15thcenturychapel Notre-Dame-de-la-Clarté, the Château de Costaérès and the Neolithic cairn of Barnenez which dates back to 4,800 BC.
We’ll lunch on fresh seafood in the elegant restaurant of the Grand Hotel des Bains in Locquierec which hosts stunning seaside homes.
In the afternoon we’ll visit thechurchChapelle Sainte-Marie-du-Ménez-Hom dating back to the 16th century where British airmen were hidden until taken to England by the local fishermen at great risk to themselves.
Then we’ll explore the perfect postcard town of Locronan which rightly deserves its accreditation of one of the most beautiful villages in France.
When we arrive at our hotel in the colorful seaside town of Douarnezwe’ll watch the tide roll in before having a relaxing meal at our cozy hotel.

Day 4 – June 18th, Saturday
Today we’ll visit the oldest city in Brittany, Quimper. With its old half-timbered buildings, its beautiful gardens, markets and shops, we’ll not run short of things to see and do!
We‘ll start the day at the Pottery Museum with its beautiful collection of traditional earthenware and sculptures. Then we’ll walk around the town, visit some pottery workshops, see the striking St. Corentin Cathedraland indulge on crepes for lunch at Crêperie La Krampouzerie.
In the afternoon we’ll visit the Château de Lanniron and its stunning gardens.
Tonight, we’ll take a break from the seafood and enjoy some local beef at the restaurant L’Effet Boeuf. (Plenty of options for vegetarians or pescatarians too).

Day 5 – June 19th, Sunday
We’ll check out of the hotel early this morning for a sea walk at the POINT DU RAZ in Plogoff.
Afterward we’ll travel to the town of Concarneau a fortified old fishing port on the sea where we’ll wander atop the town’sramparts and along it’s small lanes. If you are looking for the quintessential Breton striped top, this is the place to find it. After a seafood lunch at La Croisierewe’ll visit a nearby castle Chateau de Keriolet.
In the afternoon we’ll head to the lovely estuary of the odet where we’ll enjoy a special experience of dining in a Michelin Starred restaurant. After such a lovely dinner, no need to travel since we’ll spend the night in the restaurant’s hotel.
Day 6 – June 20th, Monday
In the morning we’ll explore the bucolic town of Pont-Aven, home to Paul Gauguin and his eponymous art colony. The local museum houses many of the artists’ works prior to his travels to Tahiti. The town is also home to one of France’s most famous biscuits, the buttery delights are the perfect thing to bring back home.
We’ll enjoy lunch at Les 3 Buis before heading to the mystical site of Carnac. More than 10,000 stones have stood guard in perfectly straight lines here for thousands of years. It’s a breathtaking sight to discover, and in turn we’ll learn about the traditions of the pre-Celtic people of Brittany.
Afterwards we’ll proceed to the town of Quiberon perched at the tip of the peninsula filled with fishing villages, a rugged coastline and steep cliffs as well as lovely beaches. If the weather cooperates we’ll take a stroll along the beach.
In the evening we’ll enjoy an award-winning oyster tasting at Maison Quintin. It’s a tradition in Brittany to eat at long tables outside, right next to the bays where they’re grown.
Day 7 – June 21st, Tuesday
Brittany has its fair share of darling villages, but each has its own particular charm. Rochefort-en-Terre, has everything we’ve now become accustomed to, cobbled lanes, timber houses with flower-filled window boxes and colorful signs.
Afterwards we’ll go for a wander around the medieval city of Guerande famous for its salt. We’ll lunch here at Tete de L’Art.
After lunch, a carriage will take us on an exceptional ride through the salt marshes where we’ll learn about salt production as we see the sun glisten over the countryside.Afterwards we’ll stop by Terre de Sel to pick up on some local salt to bring home, often flavored with various herbs and spices.
For our last celebratory meal in Brittany, we’ll feast at Azimut a local restaurant whose cuisine rivals that of Paris.
Day 8 – June 22nd, Thursday
After breakfast, we’ll head to the nearby city of Vannes from where you will be able to catch direct fast train back to Paris. We’ll return you back to reality, refreshed by the sea air and the memories we’ll have forged.
