Bastille Day in Paris
Ah, Bastille Day. On July 14—the French equivalent of America’s Fourth of July—festivities and official ceremonies are held all over France. Tomorrow morning the nation’s oldest and largest regular military parade will make its way down the Champs Elysées in Paris.
We just love this casual yet polished look (what could be more French?) for such a celebratory day in mid-July. The colors of the French flag are de rigueur—but only when done tastefully with les accessoires. Wedges especially are a must for outdoor parties. They give you height without compromising comfort, making them perfect for summer days alfresco. Whether you’re celebrating la fête nationale on the Champs Elysées, at a friend’s rooftop party in Paris or in the South of France, this ultrachic look is the perfect solution.
