We have been enjoying the marvelously sunny days in the City of Light, embracing Paris fashion by wearing the sunglasses of Waiting for the Sun (W/Sün), a 100 percent Parisian label founded by a creative team with diverse origins.
Three friends—Antoine, Julien and Alexandre—started the brand by chance one night in a bar. They define the style of the brand as “Parisian sophistication and California casual attitude.” Each season, they try to redefine a classic style with an unexpected material. The manufacturing process of the sunglasses extends to different parts of the globe—they are made with 100 percent natural tea wood from Australia or bamboo from China, and Carl Zeiss lens from Italy—but a team makes the suglasses by hand in Paris.
The sunglasses have different shapes, which suit different types of faces. We love the 19.6G vintage sunglasses, particularly appropriate for a smaller face. And the orange rosewood Summer Love sunglasses add even more joy to the summer. This season, rock the beach with Waiting for the Sun!
We created a magazine featuring the sunglasses, shot in the Philippines with locals. Check it out at the link below.
