GG2P had a new Fall Look!

Our new look will be live next Monday November 1st, but we are just so excited about it that we had to tell you about it today.

parisNormally we don't like to toot our own horn, but in this case we simply must. For the one-year anniversary of the Girls' Guide, we felt we needed a new haircut, a new fall outfit—you know, a freshening-up of sorts. Our "new look" will be live in just one week so visit us to enjoy the updated, wider, sleeker version of our site. We hope we've retained all that you already love about the Girls' Guide but made it just that much better.

Along with our new look, we are also offering exciting new ways to serve you, our readers.

• First, we are offering a new membership plan. The Gold Membership Plan allows you to receive 10 percent off all tours you book with us and 5 percent off all hotels, plus 25 percent off all of the Girls' Guide's cute merchandise. In addition, you'll receive our entire set of downloadable walking tours for free. Basically this one-year membership will instantly save you anywhere from $80 to $500 on your upcoming trip to Paris; and if you go often or book for a group, you'll save much, much more . . . AND IT ONLY COSTS $50/YEAR (that's 32 pounds or 36 euros).

paris• Second, we are presenting all Girls' Guide readers and girlfriends with 5 percent off all tours that you book with us. This is our gift to you for being a fan of our site. We've streamlined our Book-It page, so booking a tour, hotel or class will be easier than ever before.

• Third, we've made navigating our site faster and simpler. We decided to update our look and feel to make your search—whether it's for the best chocolate in Paris or the sexiest shoes—that much easier. Check out our new look for fall (and beyond), and tell us what you like and what you'd still like to see by sending us an email at info@girlsguidetoparis.com. We want you to be excruciatingly happy!

And feel free to share the news with your friends—we hate to drink alone.

Paris, Paris and More Paris!

Like many big cities, Paris adds new hotels, restaurants, shops and cultural finds year-round. Each month we track all that is hot-off-the-presses and bring it to you.

In case you missed it, this is our October update.

Wine of the Month

E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône Blanc, 2009

There is something exotic about viognier. Perhaps that's because it is uncommon (endangered to near extinction in the 1960s) and its origins are mysterious, no one knowing exactly when or how it arrived in France. Whether it came via le mistral or the Roman legions, the variety has an intrigue that goes beyond its apparent lack of pedigree, to the character of the grape itself.

Recipe of the Month

Butternut Squash Soufflé

Many people are scared of the word soufflé, which conjures visions of collapsed messes. In truth, soufflés are fairly easy.

This soufflé doesn't rise to great heights, but that's okay: it's still plenty airy, and the flavor is wonderful. It's simpler than many soufflés because it doesn't require a roux; but because of that it's important to drain the cooked squash well, to make your purée as dry as possible.

If you are planning a trip to Paris, be sure to consult our site and our Book-It page to make your trip everything that it can be. And don't forget to share our tips with your friends.
