Abbaye de Talloires

€ - Under 200 euros

Description

Built by Benedictine monks in the 17th century, on an ancient Romanic road, Talloires Abbey is full of history and secrets. On the shores of Lake Annecy, this splendid abbey is a wonderful place to come and recharge your batteries for a weekend or a few weeks, (Cezanne did in the past, and Jean Reno has more recently). Their private pontoon is the perfect spot to relax, soak up some sun and enjoy sitting by the lake. Exposed beams in the bedrooms are beautifully paired with 17th century style furniture. The arrival of the new chef, Pascal Lognon, has shifted the hotel's cuisine from classic to contemporary. Enjoy his delicious Mediterranean inspired meals in one of the private dining rooms or from the terraces, from either you'll enjoy beautiful lake views.
